There's Only One Thing That Could Beat "Ferngully" back in 1992...

...And that's drunken Ferngully on DVD today.

MY GOD THE COLORS. And Tim Curry singing a strange sort of pitch-altered crooning about pollution. It all made sense when I was 10, honest. Now it's just odd.

Really, though...even today, the graphics in this film are pretty impressive. The "Save the Rainforest" kick back in the early 90's extended far and wide, indeed.

Oh well. In the end I had other things to do so I didn't get to finish it, but I will later this weekend when I get back from Memphis! Last undegrad choir trip for me...it's sort of my last undergrad experience. My last exposure to freshman girls. Hmm. Anyway, it's the last huzzah I'll have with this group of people for sure, so I'm going to fully enjoy it. I'm not driving this year, so that means I can absolutely let loose at the ensuing hurrah afterwards at the hotel. The drive up will be relaxing, the concert will be fine, the after-party ridiculous. And this year I'm bringing a digital camera to capture it all. Good times.

I'll just let my soft buzz float off on its own then hit the sack early enough to get up in time for it. Where I will do a lot of sleeping, reading, and just chilling out on the way to Memphis. And hopefully see the "Fifth third bank" again.

Back on Sunday. See ya!

Fifth Third Bank is a bank based in Cincinnati. It's called that because once upon a time there was a Third National Bank and a Fifth National Bank, and they merged. There's a pretty building in Cincinnati which is the Fifth Third corporate headquarters (I think -- otherwise it's a big fucking bank!). Hooray for Fifth Third!

haha - Let me know about what went on - I spent my Saturday sloshed in the massive pile of bodies that was the Piker's afterparty :)

So, ah... what kind of pictures did you manage to snag, anyway? And when can I post all of them to Facebook?
